LaShun Pace simply sets the pace for gospel achievement. Pace had her beginnings in the mid-seventies in a singing group formed with her siblings, the renowned Anointed Pace Sisters. The phenomenal siblings gained in popularity first in Atlanta and then internationally, gaining the greatest recognition with 1992's U-Know. LaShun Pace launched her solo career in 1991 with He Lives, a debut that was among the top ten gospel albums of the year. Over the next decade, Pace went on to record five more acclaimed albums -- Shekinah Glory, Wealthy Place, Just Because God Said It, God is Faithful and It's My Time-- earning numerous industry awards including two of gospel's coveted Stellar Awards. Pace released her seventh full length CD, COMPLETE, in 2007 on EMI Gospel. COMPLETE was recorded live in Pace's hometown Atlanta, at her church Wings of Faith, where the pastor is Bishop Dreyfus C. Smith. With almost total creative control over the album's direction and the opportunity to produce, Pace was thrilled at the outset of this recording but the road wasn't as easy as she thought it would be. Pace was hospitalized on the Thursday before the recording with heart problems and was literally in the ICU the day before the recording. Carrying on the torch of the legendary Mahalia Jackson, Pace keeps the solid traditional sound of gospel music alive. The new project is a proclamation of personal completion and was inspired after a series of life altering events including: illness, divorce and the death of her daughter. Pace delivers and album loaded with hopeful optimism that uplifts and inspires. "When people listen to the album I want them to know that I am a person has dealt with so many negative things and through my story I want them to see the strength of God... to know if He can touch and strengthen me say's Pace, "He can also be a strengthening power for them."
Having success associated with everything she does, Miss Pace continues to soar among the ranks of the gospel artists. She appeared in the hit movie Leap of Faith starring comedian Steve Martin and also graced the silver screen in Paramount Pictures' The Fighting Temptations starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyonce. Pace has been involved in such theatrical productions such as Tyler Perry's I know I Have Been Changed, The Living Cross and the nationally acclaimed A Fool and His Money. She has performed at such major events as the McDonald's Chicago Gospelfest, The Atlanta Black Expo, and The Gospel Music Workshop of America. Her talents also have graced such prestigious venues as Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center and New York's Paramount Theater. The singer/producer/songwriter/arranger/evangelist now adds author to her long list of credits. After a series of life altering experiences Pace wrote her autobiography titled "For My Good But For His Glory".
